Richard has served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Burnaby-based Hemlock Printers since 2012. Obtaining his Bachelor of Technology Degree from Ryerson’s Graphic Communication Management program in 1996, Richard has 25+ years of hands-on print industry experience. Richard is proud to contribute to the CPIA and the greater printing industry in his capacity as Board Chair.
A Humber College and Ryerson Graduate, Mike has spent 40 years in the printing industry. He has extensive experience in prepress, sheet-fed, web offset and rotogravure printing. During his 40 years in the industry Mike has worked with Southam Murray Printing, Ronalds Printing / Quebecor, St Joesph Printing and Transcontinental. In 2001 Joined Transcontinental and is currently the Senior Vice President Tc Transcontinental Printing Ontario managing several plants in the Newspaper, Retail Inserts and Magazine Catalogue markets.
Jamie has enjoyed working in the printing industry for more than 34 years. He is the President of PDI and is actively involved in the day-to-day management of the company. Jamie completed his executive development at the Richard Ivey School of Business at Western University. He has served on both the National (CPIA) and Regional (AQII, AAGQ) associations in many capacities over the last 25 years, and is committed to supporting and defending print-industry-related interests.
Kevin Deveau has worked in the paper industry for over thirty years and has previously served as Treasurer & President of the NS Printing Industries Association & President of the Atlantic Printing Industries Association. Kevin is the Branch Manager for Ariva’s facilities in Halifax, NS and Mount Pearl, NF & is responsible for sales and distribution in the Atlantic Provinces. Kevin has been a lifelong Halifax resident.
Patrick is Canon Canada’s Senior Vice-President & General Manager and President of PESDA. He spent 14 years with Oce-Canada and was their President & CEO. Patrick began his career with General Electric Joint Venture in India and held several senior management positions during his 17-year tenure. Patrick holds several educational credentials including a B.Com, LL.B and an MBA from Bombay University in India. He is also a Harvard Business School graduate in Corporate Level Strategy and has an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors.
Loris Pavan, born and raised in Vancouver, completed his education at Simon Fraser University and began his sales career in 1987. Loris is a strong advocate for the industry, he is a member of Print Forward (formerly BCPIA) for the last 10 years, and currently serves as Chair for Print Forward.
Kent has been with PGI Printers since 2006. He is currently in his third year as president of the SPIA. Kent has been employed with the print industry since 1999. In his spare time, he volunteers as a hockey coach and assists with various charity events.
Dave ran his first letterpress job in 1971 (so he has been around for awhile); current Chair of OPIA (30+ years on the Board); current PIA Rep; past Board member of the “old CPIA”; recipient of the CPIA Award of Meril (2004) and Distinguished Service Award (2008). Retired High School and University Basketball Referee (Honourary Lifetime Member of K-W Board). Dave believes that Printing Industry Associations are good for the printing industry.
Bryce Saunders is the COO of Botanical PaperWorks in Winnipeg, Manitoba. He has a degree in mechanical engineering and has been serving on the board of the MPIA (Manitoba Print Industry Association) since 2017. In his spare time he enjoys running, playing hockey, and spending time with his wife and two young children.
Keith has worked in the Calgary Printing Industry for 24 years. For 20 of those years as the Controller for McAra Printing a division of Canadian Bank Note Company and for the last 2 years as the Director of Financial Analysis for CBN Commercial Solutions. During these 22 years have held the position of Treasurer for the Printing and Graphics Association of Alberta. An advocate for a strong National Printing Association.
Sandy has 30+ years in the industry. Graduating from Ryerson with a B.Tech in GCM in 1988, he served on the CBFA for five years before becoming their representative on the CPIA Board. Sandy served as the Government Affairs Director for five years on the CPIA Board before taking on the role of President from 2010 – 2016. A strong believer in the value of Industry Associations, he is committed to preserving the CPIA and played an integral role in the transition to the “new CPIA”.
Tracey Preston has served as the president of the Ontario Printing and Imaging Association for the past 18 years. Tracey has led many municipal, provincial and federal government affairs campaigns on behalf of the printing industry. She has acted as an advocate for the printing industry locally and internationally. As president of the OPIA, she established the first FSC small group certification for printers in North America and chairs one of the most successful WSIB safety groups.
As a registered lobbyist and a Certified Association Executive for the past 25 years, she has served many other various industries including construction and real estate as well as charitable organizations.
Tracey graduated with a specialized Honours Degree in Political Science from York University in Toronto and is a Certified Association Executive with the Canadian Society of Association Executives.
